The nerve is in the centre of each tooth and when it becomes infected of inflamed root canal is required to retain the tooth. This involves cleaning out the nerve space from the tooth and placing a filling into that area, this is all done below the surface where you cannot see and usually takes three or four appointments. We use class leading rotary root canal preparation techniques and files to get the best long term results for our patients. One of the things we do differently is to only use the root canal files on one patient never to be used on someone else making it safer for you. If the case is in need of a specialist we have a number of endodontists we work closely with. We recommend a crown or full coverage restoration be placed as soon as possible after root canal treatment is completed to retain the long term integrity of the tooth.
